For Attorneys
About The Program
Every year the National Whistleblower Center and its sister organization, the National Whistleblower Legal Defense and Education Fund receive thousands of requests for assistance from whistleblowers facing retaliation. To help these whistleblowers obtain representation we established the Attorney Referral Program. We need your help to make this program work.
Eligible attorneys who join the network, get referrals from their state or region, all of which have already undergone an initial review by an attorney barred in D.C. Members get exclusive invitations to trainings, webinars, National Whistleblower Day and other events held by the National Whistleblower Center. As a thank you, we’ll send you a copy of “Rules for Whistleblowers: A Handbook for Doing What’s Right” and an NWC t-shirt.

WE NEED YOU to Join the National Whistleblower Center’s Attorney Referral Program. Help defend whistleblowers facing retaliation.
Attorney Request for Information
If you would like to join the network and become a member of the ARP, please fill out the form below. We look forward to discussing how we can work together to help whistleblowers obtain the justice they need and deserve.
The Fund attorneys manage the Attorney Referral Program on a pro bono basis. But in order to ensure the fairness of the referral process, no intakes are referred to them for representation. If you would like to contact the Trustees of the Fund or the Directors of the National Whistleblower Center, please reach out to them directly.

PUBLIC INFORMATION AVAILABLE FOR WHISTLEBLOWERS
Whistleblowers need to understand their legal rights. Understanding the laws that may cover you will help you in finding an attorney. It will enable you to explain the legal basis for your case and “sell” your case to counsel.
Additionally, understanding your legal rights is essential in protecting your job and in ensuring that your disclosures are lawful and covered under the whistleblower law.
Also, many whistleblower laws permit whistleblowers to qualify for rewards. These include the False Claims Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Internal Revenue Act, the Securities and Exchange Act, the Commodity Exchange Act, and the Auto Safety laws, among others. Whistleblowers need to understand how these laws work to ensure that you qualify for a reward if permitted under law.
